Used Boats for Sale is a blog which, in case you didn’t guess, tells you what you need to know when buying used boats for sale. The idea is just for me to update it when I can with posts that briefly outline the important things you would want to know when starting your journey of purchasing a used boat and maybe even gets you to think about things you may not have considered otherwise. For example most people would not picture themselves unwittingly about to purchase a stolen boat and although it is unlikely, it still happens; knowing the little details like looking to see if the hull identification number has been tampered with or checking the right stolen boats website could save you a lot of trouble in the long run. Promoting awareness of these kinds of issues can only be beneficial. Another thing I have talked about so far on this blog is what you should expect from your seller, obviously try and be as agreeable with the seller as possible but not at the cost of your own peace of mind. In all honesty it’s in your best interest to slightly be a pain and find out as much as possible about the boat before getting into any kind of agreement, ideally all sellers would be perfectly open and upfront but remember at the end of the day they are trying to sell you something. I think the best advice I can give you is trust your gut, if something doesn’t seem right about the seller or the boat, leave it, there will be others. Happy boat buying!
